I work as the IT and Business Processs Manager for a company of Independent Forensic Scientists based in Cambridge, with offices in Bristol, London, Reigate, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.
Invariably during the course of forensic investigations a number of pieces of equipment are removed from the scene and stored as exhibits for that case. These can range from a fuse in a plug to sections of industrial machinery and damaged household white goods. These are currently stored in a secure warehouse in Witchford near Ely.
Our current Exhibits Manager is due to retire in mid December this year and we are looking for a replacement. The company management have stated a preference for ex Military. The job would suit a retired RE looking for part time work to top up his/her pension.
This position entails the collection and storage management of the company's forensic case related exhibits. Think of it as a G1098, but with burnt out fridges etc instead of shovels. Some travel between offices is expected and overnight accomodation and subsistence allowance will be provided where necessary.
This is currently a part time position of two and a half days a week, with the possibility of overtime. Wages are a negotiable £20,000 pro rata. The company has a very generous annual bonus scheme which is also paid pro rata.
If you or anyone you know in the Cambridge area is interested in this position then please e-mail me in the first instance at
paul.bokor@hawkins.bizThanks.
